Haitian Earthquake
We join all Americans in our sorrow for the people off Haiti in face of their most recent disaster and we join all believers in offering our heartfelt prayers for all who were killed and injured, or who lost relatives and friends in this terrible earthquake. We encourage your contributions to the disaster relief effort through the established charity of your choice. One of our strong recommendations for your donations is Catholic Relief Services. RCL Benziger wins Catholic Press Association Award for New Bilingual Religion Series

RCL Benziger has been notified that we are the recipients of the Catholic Press Association's First Place Award in the Educational Books category for our new bilingual religion curriculum, Bendecidos. This powerful new Catholic faith formation series is specifically designed for the needs of Hispanic Americans. It invites and encourages children and their families to learn, love, and live their Catholic faith in and beyond the parish community. Among the many outstanding features of this new series is a special feature in every chapter entitled Language and Culture that assists catechists in understanding and presenting the Hispanic faith heritage.
RCL Benziger received this award for Grades 1-4 of Bendecidos as these were the grade levels available by the award deadline. Grades 5 and 6 are nearly complete and the full curriculum will be available for use in September, 2008. The entire program has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
